Zorica Pavlovic, soprano
Zorica Pavlovic, native of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is a recent graduate of Georgia State University where she obtained her Bachelor of Music degree in voice performance from the studio of Magdalena Moulson-Falewitz. During her studies, Ms. Pavlovic performed a number of roles in the opera scenes and fully staged productions including Amore in Il Coronazione Di Poppea, Baroness in Candide, Sister Gertrude in Dialogues of the Carmelites, Titania in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Birdie in Regina, and others. Her past solo concert appearances include Handel’s Messiah, Haydn’s Creation, and Vivaldi’s Gloria. She was a 2008 National Association of Teachers of Singing regional competition semi-finalist and the School of Music 2009 Honors Recital Competition winner. With love for both opera and early music, she has had an opportunity to work with noted musicians such as David Daniels, Julianne Baird, Drew Minter, Walter Huff, Harry Bicket, Copeland Woodruff, David Grabarkewitz, Christy Lee, Reed Woodhouse, etc.
Ms. Pavlovic was also a participant of the Harrower Summer Opera Workshop and she also attended a number of summer schools and festivals including the Amherst Early Music Festival where she was selected for it's competitive Baroque Academy program.
Zorica Pavlovic performed with New Trinity Baroque for the first time in the program of Handel’s Italian Arias & Duets at the 2009 Piccolo Spoleto Festival in Charleston, South Carolina. She can also be seen as a chorister in Atlanta Opera’s premiere of Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice.
