Reviews
This
is a fine ensemble of the sort that should already
be having an active performing schedule. The performance
was lively, interesting and professional. The audition
material contained a great deal of variety within
the chosen field, and the quality of the recording
showed the same concern for excellence that the
performance itself did.
Words
that come to mind in listening to the performance
were: defined, gripping, thoughtful, full
of temperament, fearless. The very first
notes commanded attention. The Purcell was played
so as to display the exotic nature of the composer's
harmonies. The Corelli had a nice lift.
